    Summary

This programme will allow you to work in a variety of clinical settings as a valued member of the health team. Graduates have the opportunity to register with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and will be able to practice under the delegation of a registered health professional. It provides accessible health education and career development opportunities for those wishing to enter a career in health care or those already employed who wish to develop their career pathway.

    What You'll Learn

Students gain knowledge and skills in nursing, social science, and the structure and function of the human body. They will learn skills in simulated learning environments which they then apply on placements in clinical practice. During the programme students will undertake a range of clinical courses in different health care settings including rehabilitation, acute care and mental health.

    Tihei Mauri Ora Roopu

If you identify as a 毛利 or Pacific Islander you can choose to study in the Tihei Mauri Ora stream. This option allows you to study in a culturally supportive environment and integrates all areas of knowledge from both the western and 毛利 worlds.

    Career/Further Opportunities

Graduates of Enrolled Nursing (Nēhi Whakauru) are able to deliver nursing care and health education across the lifespan of health consumers.
